Hi! I am Yuliya - the voice of the podcast Love To Heal and the author of The Five Ascents.
My Story
I came to the United States from Russia at the age of eleven, carrying with me both the visible and invisible weight of immigration—the need to adapt, to belong, and to redefine who I was in a completely new world. Like many who grow up between cultures, I searched for identity in places that promised meaning but ultimately left me empty. For years, I chased what society presented as success: material comfort, achievement, and fleeting pleasures. These became my “gods,” shaping my choices and priorities, yet never truly satisfying the deeper questions within me.
Over time, I began to feel that something essential was missing. Beneath the surface of accomplishment and outward stability, there was a quiet but persistent longing for truth, purpose, and connection. That search led me back to my roots—back to Judaism, not just as heritage, but as a living, breathing source of wisdom. Through Torah learning, I discovered a framework that gave meaning to my experiences, clarity to my struggles, and direction to my life.
Today, I embrace my identity as a Jewish woman with intention and gratitude. My journey has transformed from one of seeking fulfillment in the external world to striving to refine my inner world and uplift others. Through my writing, storytelling, and creative work, I aim to share the depth and beauty of Torah wisdom in a way that inspires, heals, and connects. My mission is simple yet profound: to contribute, in whatever way I can, to bringing more light, purpose, and meaning into the world.
